We are a small Hobby farm outside of Portland OR. We've been raising & showing Lionhead rabbits for a few years now (Link Below) as well as White Crested guinea pigs. in early 2013 we saw our first Baldwins & have been in love with the hairless ever since. We now raise both hairless breeds, Baldwins and Skinny Pigs with our mane focus being the skinnies.
We have found the Hairless to be more sociable & are absolutely in love with their personality, not to mention the funny sound their ears make when they shake their heads!

Baldwins are Hairless guinea pigs. They are completely bald with absolutely no hair at all or very minimal on their feet. They are born completely haired like a regular cavy. After a few days ( 2-5) their hair starts to fall out from the head to their bottoms until becoming completely bald around 2 months of age. They are often confused with " skinny pigs" who look similar except for the fact that skinnies have some hair
( usually on face & feet) & unlike Baldwins they are born hairless. The loss of hair is caused by different genes & therefore skinnys & baldwins have no relation & breeding the two together should not be done & will result in haired babies.
